The Polaris social connect program, Ullas Trust supports young and economically challenged children, till they are able to support themselves. The Ullas Trust was founded in 1997 with an aim to integrate Polaris associates with the larger social community.

The charter for the trust is

To encourage a 'Can Do' spirit among the young, economically challenged students during the vulnerable stage of adolescence.
To recognize academic excellence in students from Corporation and Government schools between classes 9th to 12th and enable them to select good careers and realize their dreams.

Awards

The Ullas Encouraging Excellence in Education (Triple-E) Awards was instituted in the year 2002 by Ullas Trust. The objective is to encourage and recognise positive action by schools that impart high quality education to poor but bright students and help them to excel. (For details refer to Objectives of the Triple-E Awards)

The best schools in the following three categories are selected by the Triple-E Awards Selection Panel:

Corporation Schools: for the best performing school & its Principal/Headmaster
Government Schools: for the best performing school & its Principal/Headmaster
Private Schools : for the best performing school & its Principal/Headmaster

Sri Ahobila Mutt OHSS, Mambalam, Chennai won the 1st Triple-E Award for Outstanding School in 2002. The rolling trophy was given to the Headmaster of the School on the occasion of the Ullas Annual Workshop organised at Chennai on Nov 16, 2002.
